Sick Pet Exams
When your pet doesn't feel well we understand how stressful that can be. That is why the staff at Town & Country is here to help you! Our doctors and technicians will take the time to evaluate your pet's condition, talk with you about your concerns, and present you with their treatment recommendations and cost estimates.

If at anytime your pet is showing signs of needing emergency medical attention, please come immediately. We would appreciate a phone call to let us know to expect you, but do not hesitate to come directly in to see us.
Dental Procedures
Dental Procedures are important to the long-term health of our dogs and cats. At Town & Country,pets who undergo dental procedures receive a thorough oral exam, digital dental radiographs, ultrasonic scaling, polishing and fluoride treatment. All dental patients will be anesthetized in order to perform these procedures.
We require dental patients to be current on their vaccinations and parasite testing according to Town & Country protocols prior to being checked-in to our facilities.
Because of the inherent risks involved with anesthesia, we perform pre-anesthetic testing on all of our dental patients. This testing allows us evaluate patients' internal health in order to minimize the risks associated with anesthesia.
We ask that pets scheduled to undergo surgery, be admitted to the hospital the night before their procedure. This allows pets to get settled and for us to prepare them for their procedure
Elective Surgeries
These procedures include spays, neuters and declaws. We require surgical patients to be current on their vaccinations and parasite testing according to Town & Country protocols prior to being checked-in to our facilities.
Because of the inherent risks involved with anesthesia, we perform pre-anesthetic testing on all of our surgical patients. This testing allows us evaluate patients' internal health in order to minimize these risks.
We ask that surgical patients be admitted to the hospital the night before their scheduled procedure. This allows pets to get settled and for us to prepare them for their surgery. Following surgery, pets are given pain medication to ease their discomfort and antibiotics.
Most pets who are spayed or neutered will return home the evening of their procedure so they can recover in the comfort of their own homes. Declaws require more monitoring by our veterinary technicians during their recovery, and will be allowed to return home the day after their procedure. Pets will be sent home with antibiotics to be given over the next week and pain medication, when appropriate.
Non-Elective Surgeries
Unfortunately, sometimes our pets need surgery due to an injury, ingestion of foreign objects, or even to further investigate a perilous condition. Together with our professional staff and our modern, well-equipped surgery suite, Town & Country is prepared when those occasions arise.

Cost of Exams & Veterinary Services
We are glad to provide cost estimates for our medical recommendations, prior to treatment. When you make an appointment with our veterinarians you are responsible only for the cost of the initial exam, unless your pet is undergoing emergency resuscitation/stabilization. Once your pet's needs are evaluated, our staff will discuss treatment plan and recommendations with you and the cost associated with these services.
Due to the highly variable nature of veterinary medicine and patients' needs, we do not post our prices online. Every case is approached considering the individual patient's history, condition and needs. Individualized recommendations and assessments then determine the cost of care.
